Hello, World!
Welcome to my new blog, Logomacy. Why yet another blog?
Well, two reasons, mainly.
First: I wanted to play around with the Wordpress blogging software so that I can move away from the now moribund MovableType 2.6x
Second: Recently I’ve been doing a lot of stuff relating to words and language (reading linguistics blogs, studying Latin and Old English, creating wikis and blogs relating to both those pursuits) and while I’ve been blogging about some of it, I’ve been feeling that none of my current blogs is really appropriate for these topics. The handful of readers of Foolippic, for instance, don’t care about Old English at all (and nor should they). That goes in spades for my other, more special purpose blogs, such as Books Do Furnish a Room, or BlogRiPpinG.
So, a brand new blog to play with.

line 74, column 34: XML Parsing error:

Hmmm. Have you tried both the Atom and the RSS feeds? I just checked, and with the aggregator software I’m using (an online aggregator http://www.bloglines.com ) both parse correctly.

For some reason, WordPress RSS gets lathered if you use an HTML entity in the title of an entry — e.g., your second entry. WordPress does not do so, however, if you have entities in the body text. Just something I’ve observed…
